My review
Having sensitive teeth is quite a new thing for me but wow it is painful. I made an appointment at the dentist as I thought I was going to need a filling but apparently the pain was caused by receding gums. Oh joy, I'm officially getting old! The dentist recommended a well known brand of sensitive toothpaste which worked like a charm, however, I really disliked the almost watery texture and really missed the foaminess and sparkly clean feeling I always got with Oral-B.
You can imagine my delight when I heard that Oral-B were bringing out a toothpaste for sensitive teeth! I would have been rushing to buy this anyway but I was lucky to be chosen for the SuperSavvyMe trial and received a full sized toothpaste along with 16 samples to give out to my family and friends.
Oral-B Calm has the lovely foaminess that I'm used to from Oral-B but with the added benefit of treating sensitivity. I had already been managing my sensitive teeth and switching to Calm kept my sensitivity at bay. It has a lovely minty taste with a hint of spicy cinnamon to give you that fresh from the dentist feel every day.
My gums have never felt better. Oral-B Calm does it all; it prevents sensitivity and leaves my teeth sparkly clean. It's foamy, fresh and absolutely brilliant. This is the only toothpaste for me.
Since testing Oral-B Calm, they have brought out two additional variants: Gentle Whitening and Extra Fresh. I'm more than happy with the original so I'm sticking with this one.
I do think it's a little pricey at the RRP of £5 and it was originally available exclusively at Boots, but at the time of writing both Boots and Wilko have it on a half price promotion at £2.50 - bargain!
It scores 10/10 from me and I would definitely recommend it, especially at half price!
Now I've tried the sample, would I buy it? Why aye!
